Hey Brotha!

So good to read your voice again. Oh the farm's just been a side job I've found; been a good experience too, you know, picking strawberries, and pulling onions right from the ground. Over the off seasons I fix up the barn and do random chores. Of course it's more for spending money than anything, what with the t-shirt business booming. As for love, you might as well ignore that comment. I have nothing more to say...

Alex,

Thanks man for the letters.  The trip was pretty fantastic.  I saw the blue sky everyday and climbed a palm tree or two.  I'd like to become a real surfer, but I really need to improve on my swimming.  It's true, Utah drivers do seem to speed, but at least they're fearless.  Haha.  And yes, basketball players are REALLY tall.  Wanna tell me more about this contemplation on love?-oooo...  Or the friends on the farm?  Since when have you been on a farm?

As far as peace goes, Tahiti was very peaceful.  In fact, I feel practically like a new person since then.  I don't know, there's just something about taking a moment to sit back, relax and think about life, to get it all back into balance you know?  That must have been what Tahiti was all about for me.  A moment to sink back and soak it all in, then digest the pieces?, how about rather let them settle within me and then rearranging into something different, something better.  Oh the word "thing" is so vague really.  Hrrmph.  In short, I'm a new man.  Tahiti changed me, and I'm excited to move forward.  It's the first time that I've felt free since the accident.

What have you been up to lately?  Really, we should do lunch.

Dear Arthur,

I can't wait till you get back!  There is so much to tell you about life and the pursuit of happiness.  I've learned so much lately and made so many good friends here on the farm.  Sometimes you just have to step out a little bit from your shell and be bold.  Ask questions, and never be afraid of looking stupid, because seriously?  Who cares?  I love raindrops.  I hope it rains soon.

Your Friend,
Alex

Dear Arthur,

Today was such a good day and I love watching jet planes soar across the sky.  The line of smoke they leave behind reminds me of when I was 5 or so, watching them from the car window.  '89 Tercels seemed so big back then.

PS-hey when do you get back?

Dear Arthur,

Love is a very strong word.

Contemplative,

Dear Arthur,

People in Utah like to speed.  I'm not complaining or anything, I've just never driven in a place where it's common to go almost 15 miles above the speed limit on the freeway--and if you don't, everyone gets mad and passes on the left.  Funny eh?

speed demon,
Alex

Dear Arthur,

it costs more money to produce power over an ethernet connection.  at least, that's what i gathered...in any case, there is much more for me to learn about the internets in general.  i hope you are at peace in tahiti.

Happy Day,
Alex

Dear Arthur,
